Hunter Biden was convicted Tuesday of three criminal acts related to the purchase of a gun in 2018 when, according to prosecutors, he lied in a form of arms purchase, saying he was not drug users or was not drug addict.
The jury found Mr. Hunter Biden guilty of false claims on the weapons purchase form and of holding the weapon in violation of the law for 11 days.
At the time of the jury's decision, Mr. Hunter Biden looked without reaction. Then he embraced his lawyers and barely smiled. He kissed his wife, Melissa, with whom he went out of court together.
He faces a 25-year prison sentence, but lawbreakers are not given such severe sentences for the first time. It is unclear whether the court judge of the Maryelle Noreika will punish her with the suffering of prison sentence.
