Pal Refsdal, journalist, photographer and director known by Norway, who was a photographer during the war in Kosovo, has spoken of his activity in recording the war through photographs and videos.
Refsdal said a portion of them were used on CNN in 99, but most of the material is not known to the public and has brought everything he had to the archive, as he put it, any kind of photography, video-striking from HINA-99.
“It's been a matter of hundreds of photos by the KLA and hours of video footage from the refugee section in 99. I've been in Klechka for at least a month in that area and there have been thousands of refugees who have been there and filmed them, but even after the war I've photographed several places where the” massacres have taken place, Refsdal said at RTK.
In this regard, he added that some places where massacres have taken place have documented them because, as he said, people have wanted to bury people killed as quickly as possible, and it has been important to get to those places as quickly as possible.
And now we're bringing this evidence and documentation, and I hope these can be collected and systematized so that they can be used for history lessons first, but also for war crimes tribunal”, Repsdsal said.
He added that for these photos and videos, he wants no material benefit, with the goal that all these materials can be exploited by all interested persons for free, but on the condition that they are not misused for material gain.
