Osmani: KLA war was not just for land, but for the spirit of Kosovo itself

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, in the ceremony of the parade of KSF soldiers and Kosovo police in honour of the 25th anniversary of our country's liberation, said the KLA was the most powerful pillar of resistance and hope.

The first state said the KLA war was not just for the land, but for the soul of Kosovo itself.

“U n CK was the most powerful pillar of resistance and hope, women and brave men took up arms to protect our right to exist. The war was not just for the earth but for the very soul of Kosovo. Every life they risked brought us a step closer to freedom. Courage of The KLA is a history of heroism that will be told throughout generations. We owe them gratitude that can never be repaid and should be remembered and honoured forever”, Osmani said.

The president further said that on June 12th 1999, KLA fighters and NATO soldiers, fears, horrors and pain, turned them into hope and freedom made it happen.

The trip to freedom is known. We were supported by the staunch allies who stood by us in the darkest hours of our history. Thank you for helping us protect us from extermination by Serbia's genocide regime.
