Osmani condemns the attack on Danish prime minister: Violence against every leader is violence to the soul of democracy

The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has described the attack on Denmark's prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, as terrible.

Osmani said the attack on Frederiksen strongly condemns him, as he said violence against every leader is an attack on democracy.

This evening's “Sulmi towards Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen in Copenhagen is terrible. I punish him severely. Violence against every leader is an attack on the very soul of democracy. Stay strong, dear Mattte”, Osmani wrote.

The Danish prime minister was attacked tonight in a Copenhagen square, while police arrested the author of the attack.
