“25 years ago we found freedom. It came as a triumph from the will of the entire generation's attempt; it came as the last light of the peaceful 90s whose faith never ceased; came as an altar of eternity where Kosovo's boys and girls rest; it came as a victory for the Euro-Atlantic monuments, which in heaven above us appeared to us through NATO butterflies”, Obadiah said.
The first of the LDK, in the presence of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, and other international personalities, said freedom came “through distant voices, which were also made close to us, and in all the horrors of war and impoverishment, were among us to tell us that we were not alone and that we would not remain alone”.
The “came through the voices of Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Javier Solana, Wesley Clark, Madeline Albright, Jamie Shea, Joschka Fischer, Massimo Délema, packed leaders and other world acts, who in our worst hours were joined by us. Therefore, we are forever grateful. That's why we always thank them! Freedom came as we all believed it”, Obadiah said.
According to him, manifesting freedom from others is the very purpose of the sacrifice for freedom even of those who do not enjoy it; and of those who are not among us today to be us.
The West is next to us in our worst hours, which bring us together here today, a quarter century after”, he said.
