The North Macedonia Assembly will hold a session Saturday for the vote on the new government, to be led by Hristian Mickoski, V chairman MRO DPMNE's party, which won the fair parliamentary elections held on May 8th.
The new government will have 24 ministries, or four more than decomposing, while part of it, except V MRO DPMNE to be coalition V LEN, which make up four Albanian parties and party Z NAM, which makes up the former Social Democrat League member (LSDM).
These parties have a parliamentary majority of 78 MPs from 120, totaling the Parliament.
The new government's election must vote on 61 MPs, while according to the Parliament's regulation, debate cannot last more than two days.
In his speech to MPs, nominated for prime minister, Hristian Mickoski will present the ministers of the government cabinet and the work programme.
Law enforcement, fighting organised crime and corruption, economic development and the country's European integration will be the government's top priorities, according to Mickoski.
VMRO DPMNE has competed in elections with what is known as the #1198 programme as reference to the number of projects in different spheres now part of the work program.
Even Albanian coalition parties V LEN, which will be part of the new government, has pledged that they will have a different approach from the Democratic Union for Integration (BDI), which has been in power since 2002.
Izet Mexhet, who in the new government will be the first deputy prime minister, has said that “work rather than demagogia” will be the principles Albanian ministers will be engaged on.
Partition of ministries in the new government
VMRO DPMNE, and its coalition partners “Macedonia My im” will have the largest number of ministries, a total of 16.
Minister of Internal Affairs has been nominated, Panche Toskoski, while Defence Minister Vlado Misselovski.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade is expected to be headed by Timco Mutunski, while the Transport Ministry of Aleksandar Nikolovski, who has been nominated for deputy prime minister.
The Ministry of Finance will lead Gordana Dimitrieska-Kocoska, while Energy, Sanja Bozinovska, and Education, Vesna Janevska.
Ivan Stoilkovic from the Serbian Democratic Party will lead the Ministry for Relations between Ethnic Communities.
Stoilkovovic's appointment for minister has sparked numerous reactions, as Stoilkovovic is considered close to Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq, and Bosnia and Herzegovina's Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, as well as cultivating good relations with Russia.
Albanian Party Force in New Government
Coalition V LEN, consisting of four Albanian parties, will run six ministries in the new government.
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Ecology is expected to be Izet Mexhidi.
Besar Durmish will head the ministries of Social Policy, Demographic and Youth, while Fatmir Limani, the Ministry of Economy and Labour.
Arben Taravari has been nominated for Health Minister, while Arben Fetai is a deputy prime minister.
Orhan Murtezani is expected to head the new Eurointegration Ministry.
Coalition V Turnout LEN in Government, for the Democratic Union of Integration, is non-legigration, as DUI, which heads the European Front, says the current Albanian opposition has lost elections on May 8th, so it cannot also represent Albanians.
DUI claims V LEN has damaged Albanian interests “by acknowledging the role of “vasal” in the Mickoski Government.
But by coalition V LEN say DUI in the elections has received votes from all ethnic communities with which it was in the coalition, so it cannot claim to the legitimacy of the Albanian vote.
DUI was part of the Northern Macedonia Governments, whether with VMRO DPMNE or LSDM, since 2002. / REL
