Europeans in 20 countries will go to the polls on the biggest and last day of voting for the European Parliament.
In a year of key elections, the EU vote is particularly important, on a continent that testifies to polarised politics and the rise of nationalism, foreign media write, Telegrafi conveys.
Preparation before the vote has been marked by violent incidents, although an attack on Danish Prime Minister Meta Frederiksen, who forced him to stop the campaign, is not seen as politically motivated.
The main group of Europe's centre-right centre is expected to come to the top throughout the EU when the first results come up later Sunday, however, three parties at the far right are intent on winning most of the countries at the national level.
The vote has already begun on Thursday, Friday and Saturday for several EU countries, but most EU member states are voting Sunday.
The European Parliament is the direct link between Europeans and EU institutions.
