According to the Constitution, the mandate for forming the Government is given to the party, which in the election has won the largest number of MPs and manages to secure over 60 votes for its vote in the Assembly.
In parliamentary elections on May 8, V MRO DPMNE has won 58 seats in the Northern Macedonia Assembly, up from 120 in total.
After receiving the warrant, V chairman MRO DPMNE, Hristian Mickoski, has a 20-day deadline for submitting to the government's new composition framework, as well as the work programme. Mickoski has said that handing over the list with names for the composition of the new government will do so in the first possible term.
“expects me to hand over the compound as soon as possible, or before religious holidays that come -- Kurban Bajrami (16 June) and Spirit Day (21 June)”, Mickoski said.
New government to be formed by V MRO DPMNE, Albanian coalition V LEN and ZNAM. These three parties together will have 78 deputies.
Before the Government vote, however, the Assembly must pass a law to reshuffle ministries, which requires a two-thirds majority (or 80 votes) in the 120-member Assembly.
Mickoski has submitted proposals to the Assembly on Wednesday, but although he has declined to confirm directly whether he has secured the support of 80 deputies, he has said they are not “initialists in politics” to “believed in chance”.
We are not naive politicians to believe in coincidence. In politics there are rarely times”, Mickoski has said.
Mickoski has given no details about the division of ministries or who will lead them, while representatives of the V coalition LEN have said that in the new government they will have a deputy prime minister, six ministries, two of whom will be without resurface, as well as seven deputy ministers. From the ranks of coalition V LEN is also the chairman of the Parliament, Africa Gashi, who was elected May 28th. /Rel/
