Defence Minister Ejup Macedonia claims Milan Radojicic's terrorist group that carried out the attack in Banjska continues to remain organised. According to him, this still poses a danger to our country.
Macedonia stated that despite peace, order and law in the northern part of our country, security remains vulnerable and the danger remains present.
We now have a greater extent, order and law, a cut in our country's smuggling routes and financial vulnerability. But I appreciate that, however, the risk remains present because members who have been part of the Radojicic group who have carried out a terrorist attack on our country remain at large. These members, paramilitary, are in the Republic of Serbia and continue to remain organised”, he stressed at RTK.
The minister also cited the deployment of Serb troops along the border with Kosovo, while confirming that Kosovo institutions remain vigilant to face possible threats.
“Also, what still poses danger in our country is the large presence of Serb troops in southern Serbia, not far from the border with Kosovo, three of the four mechanised brigades of the Serbian Army are located in Rashka, Nis and Vranje, and these three brigades have their own extended units along the border line with Kosovo, 28 of the Serbian Army's top operational bases are located at a 300m to 5km distance from the border with Kosovo.
Also, 20 gendarmerie bases are located along this line, adding to this the failure to punish the Radojicciq group I appreciate that despite peace, order and law in the northern part of our country, security remains vulnerable and danger remains present, therefore our country, security institutions, and Kosovo's military in this case will remain vigilant to face possible threats of”, he confirmed.
Meanwhile, Macedonia said there are more laws, security and state administration in the northern part of the country in the past three years.
“Normically in terms of the extent of sovereignty, order and state administration, in the northern part of Kosovo I appreciate that it is the first time our country has reached the last three years after 25 years to establish order, law and sovereignty, greater security and state administration in the northern part of our country. It is known that for many years, about 25 years, the real border of Kosovo's citizens has been the bridge over Iber -- that is, there have been bridge guards and on the other side criminal and terrorist groups that have been operating over the years. Now these groups are not there, have fled to Serbia and have been part of the attack on the sovereignty and territory of our country”.
