Prime Minister Albin Kurti has met with brothers who own the Bayraktar drone company TB-2 in Turkey, announcing that it has also visited the prototype of this company's non-pilot combat butterflies.
Kurti wrote on Facebook on Monday that the Turkish company is pioneering in the defence and aviation industry, stressing that Kosovo has such fears in its arsenal.
“Baycar is a Turkish pioneer company in the defence and aviation industry. It is the first Turkish company to have produced flight-free military butterflies or fears, as known. So far, it is internationally known for producing Bayraktar TB-2 drones, which our army has in its arsenal. Today, at company facilities, I was welcomed by the brothers, Bayraktar, Haluk, and Selcuk. Haluk holds the medal “concerned service”, which is at the same time the highest military gratitude in our country, for our will, willingness and co-operation with the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. There I looked closely and the prototype of this company's pilotless fighter butterfly, Kizilema”, he stressed.
Kosovo has purchased Bayraktar Ped TB-2 last year from the Turkish company. Kurti said they would be used to boost security in the country.
