Kosovars immersed in loans, the CEC publishes May statistics: 232.94m euros in new loans, customer deposits reached 6.07 billion

The BQK says the general “value of the Comercial Bank Assets has reached 7.40 billion euros” of that “New Credits was 232.94m euros”.

Client deposits reached 6.07 billion euros (about 27.05% are deadlined), the CEC said.

The value of the new deposits was 56.24m euros, while the loan-deposit report was at 86.08%.

In May, the BQK says the “capital of commercial banks was 890.34m euros”.

Commercial banks' assets At the end of May 2024 have reached 7.40 billion euros, marking growth for 0.25% compared to the previous month, mainly because of the increased gross loans, which at the end of May have reached 5.22 billion euros. Compared to the previous month, gross loans in May 2024 have increased by 80.99m euros, or 1.5.8%.

The Value of New Credits in May 2024 was 232.94m euros.

Average credit interest rate in May 2024 was 6.14% (in April 2024 was 6.07%).

Client Deposits in May 2024 have reached the value of 6.07 billion euros, marking increases for 34.78m euros, or 0.5.8% compared to the previous month. From the accumulated value of customer deposits, around 27.05% are deadlined. According to sectors, family economies dominate around 67.65% of the total value of deposits.

Value of New Insurance in May 2024 was 56.24m euros.

Average interest rate in deposit in May 2024 was 2.4% (in April 2024 was 2.5.5%).

Interest Rate on credit and deposits in May 2024 was 3.65% (in April 2024 was 3.53%).

Credit-deposit report in May 2024 was on level 86.08%.

Total commercial bank capital At the end of May 2024 amounted to 890.34m euros. While credit projections rose to 0.91m euros, or 0.21% compared to the previous month, reaching the value of 148.66m euros.
