The Albanian Ambassadors' Council has attended long-standing negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo with much interest and concern, and wants to see a final agreement as soon as possible.
The official site says the CAA stands against pressure on Kosovo to reconcile with forming Serb majority municipalities and believes such pressure undermines Kosovo's sovereignty and encourages Serbia's stance of non-recognition.
According to this council, imposed solutions could destabilise the region.
In turn, the Albanian Ambassadors' Council stresses that the EU's irreplaceable contribution and role should focus on facilitating a fair dialogue that respects Kosovo's independence.
“The CAA calls on the EU for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue to appoint negotiators from the rank of welcome and accepted diplomats/politics from both countries so that the level of credibility on all sides can increase. This council also requires that Serbia's behaviour as Russian representative and Republika Srpska leader Dodik's rhetoric to its secession from BiH should be stopped at any cost before it is too late. We consider this as a war recipe, as an approach that goes in the same line/logic with Russian aggression against Ukraine”, the Albanian Ambassador's Council further says.
