All you have to do to increase engine power is reduce the amount of oil.
Of course, this movement conflicts with healthy sense and all that we have learned about the essential roles of engine oil, but it works and a specific test shows to what extent.
Oil Geek on YouTube published a dyno engine test with different amounts of oil. The test was conducted in collaboration with Ben Strader from private technical school EFI University, and the Chevrolet V8 engine underwent the test.
They start with a minimum quantity of oil, so it is no wonder that the pressure is low. However, the measuring device shows a maximum power of up to 649 HP (and 617 Nm). They add oil and engine pressure to an acceptable level, but power drops to 630 horses/power.
Finally, with the declared quantity of oil, the power of the engine reaches 569 horsepower (and 559 Nm), which is about 10% less than the initial value.
This test shows that lowering oil levels really affect the power of the engine, but this method is still used only for short jobs, where short - term loads occur.
In any case, this trick is not recommended for “your home”. /Telegraphy/
