In response, the Embassy said it expresses regret over this annulment and thanks President Vjosa Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Pristina chairman Progress Rama.
“We inform you that the visit of former French Minister of Foreign Affairs and UN High Representative Bernard Kouchner to Kosovo has unfortunately had to be cancelled due to logistical problems related to Dr Kouchner's trip. We announce that his visit will be realised at a later date. The French Embassy laments this obstacle and sincerely thanks the president, the prime minister, the Kosovo Assembly, the mayor of Pristina, the municipal Parliament and all social personalities who agreed to meet with Dr. Kouchner during his visit”, it is said in the communique.
Kouchner was the UN Secretary General's High Representative in Kosovo from 1999 to 2001 and France's former Foreign Affairs Minister.
