What is expected from the presidential debate Beden-Trump?

The two oldest candidates ever in the race for presidential elections in the United States will meet face-to-face on June 27th in a televised debate like no other one writes Reuters, broadcast the REL. One accuses his rival of posing a threat to democracy, the other accuses the opponent of being corrupt.

US President Joe Biden, 81-year-old, and former US President Donald Turmp, 78-year-old, are in a tight race, according to public opinion polls, when they have less than five months to the November 5th election.

Many voters are undecided, and expect to see the debate expected to be viewed in record numbers, more due to dramatic moments, rather than because of the policies of the democratic president and his Republican competitor.

Willingness to Work

Both candidates may face questions about whether they are physically and mentally willing to carry out the office of president.

Trump claims that Biden has neither physical nor mental ability to carry out this mandate, while Biden calls his predecessor the turbulent “ ” and dangerous to democratic norms.

The Democrats often cite Trump's role in the attack on the US Congress on January 6, 2021, by his supporters, and other attempts to overturn the 2020 election outcome, as well as the sentence on May 30th, when a court found him guilty at 34 points in which Trump was accused of buying the silence of a pornography star before the 2016 presidential elections.

Biden's mental and physical state is the key topic that has conveyed him this time, and for which he has speculated on many fronts, while the current president requires a second mandate.

Critics have said that his pace is slowing, taking as an example his occasional setbacks. Allies, on the other hand, claim he's in the best shape.

Trump has often mocked Beden through the Marchs he has organized, saying he is unable to maintain the president's position.

The president's age increases dilemmas to many other voters, including the Democrats.

Trump has not faced exactly the same criticism, but he has surprised many of his supporters, when he occasionally mixed his names, or when he wrongly identified Biden with former US president, Barack Obama.

The Test of temperament

Both candidates are known for their hot blood and for a little patience.

They are known for taking over the stage, each in its own way. They were both at the head of the White House.

There's a lot of resentment in this between”, said Tevi Troy, former official in George W. Bush, who has helped the republican president prepare in the 2004 debate against the Democrat, John Kerry.

Beden has repeatedly interrupted Trump in the first face-to-face debate in 2020, and in the end, Trump's performance has been deemed weak.

This time around, Trump may attempt to increase Biden's tension by citing the legal battles of his son Hunter, who has been convicted of lying about drug abuse and illegal possession of the weapon.

Joe Biden is trained to avoid these comments, but viewers will be very attentive to notice if there will be change of mood.

Trump must also be careful not to have exciting, derogatory approaches.

Could not be aggressive at the point that sounds rude”, Brett O'Donell, veteran debate, said.

Both Beden and Trump can be unpredictable.

Trump has refused to participate in the republican's initial debates in the race to win the nomination, but that decision has not harmed him at all, as he has easily won in his party's race.

Biden, too, has not climbed to the debate scene for almost four years.

The Danger of Dezinformation

Trump is known for spreading false information and exaggerations, which force many lawyers to verify the statements he makes.

Biden, too, has been known for several fairy tales.

Troy believes that limited time is one of the factors that move racers to try to get as much out of themselves as they can in a shorter period.

According to him, verifying facts is a job for campaign assistants and media organisations.

Faring Narratites

Beden is expected to have a tendency to account for the Trump conviction in New York.

O'Donell has said this is not a good idea, as it would strengthen the Trump's drill that Biden has been involved in charges against Trump, and that he is the victim of persecution.

Beden's campaign has spent $50m in advertising campaigns in recent weeks to spread the news of Trump's condemnation.

For Trump, the risk lies in statements he can make, which are in line with Biden's argument that the former president poses a threat to democratic norms.

Trump, example, has suggested that he engage the US Department of Justice in targeting political enemies.

“Trump must have presidential approach”, said Aaron Kall, an expert at Michigan University, for presidential debates.

Trump will also have a tendency to complain, as often happens on social networks, that there are groups working against him, and presenting himself as the victim of political conspiracy.

But undecided voters don't care about these things, O'Donell has said.

“People are not interested in candidate problems, they are interested in their problems”.

Political experts have said that candidates should discuss issues related to living conditions like the prices of trees and vegetables to show they are close to voters.

Biden has been trying to address the economic aspect for several months, but polls show voters trust Trump a little more when it comes to management of the economy.

Brad Bannon, the Democrat, has said that Biden must accept that some voters are still in a difficult position.

It should increase efforts and accept that some consumers still have problems with high gas prices and food products”, Bannon said.

He said that Biden shows enough empathy. But he must do more”.

Journal without Audience

There won't be an audience in the debate room. This can be problematic for both candidates, but especially for Trump, who is encouraged by shouting crowds.

Candidates may have the feeling of being lost, as they will not know in real time how the audience is reacting, Kal said.

But the fact that they won't have close supporters will probably make them focus more on content and less on criticism.

Another danger to Trump: CNN has said one candidate's microphone will be stopped, to prevent obstacles until the other speaks.

Trump will probably even speak up, despite the microphone being stopped.

As a former TV show star, Trump has long experience in studios, while Biden is used to giving speeches from the White House, without audience.

CNN has said Trump will be the last to be declared in the debate.

In the currency drop, Beden's team has won the country's definition and has put the current president on the right side of the audience screen.

Trump's campaign, then, has demanded that he have the final word in the debate.

Independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has failed to participate in the debate because it has long failed to meet CNN criteria.

CNN has said that only Biden and Trump have met the criteria in the deadline.

Among the conditions has been that candidates have at least 15 percent support in four national political polls. / REL/
