Excavation of candidate lists for MPs begins, parties promise innovation

The LDK and AAK have also begun drafting candidate lists for deputies. So far they have published several candidate names, while the leaders of these parties have promised innovation in the composition of these lists, Nacional reports.

Candidate of The PDK for prime minister, Bedri Hamza, has suggested there will be criteria for which party's candidate for deputy.

The list issue will be discussed, but for one thing I'm sure, there will be many innovations on the list and there will be a list of relevant people”, Hamza said in an interview for the “Pressing” show.

He has indicated that all Kosovo municipalities will be represented on the list.

There will certainly be criteria for setting the list. They also make certain decisions about who could be on the list. It will also be a representation of municipalities. It should be known how many candidates from Skenderaj -- how many from Gjilan, Gjakova, Mitrovica, or Pristina -- will have to mobilise the” vote, Hamza has indicated.

The owner of the PDK candidate candidate list has said that people who are not officials of this party will be included on the list.

There could also be civil society, university professors and experts from various fields. Even as part of the team that will work with me, but normally on the list we aim for about 40 percent to be girls and women. We have it as a target on a total list, we're open for more, but it won't be listed just because of gender causes, but also because of values”, Hamza said.

He has indicated that the number of those who have previously not been competing for deputies will be large on the PDK list.

Of course, there will be names that race on the list for the first time, a large part of them will be names that for the first time will be in an election contest. This does not mean that they will be young only at age. They may be older, but they certainly will compete for the first time. A large number will be in Lisa. I am convinced that they would be people of integrity, witnesses, and people who have positive vision and energy to contribute to our country's predecessor”, Hamza said.

Even the AAK LDK is getting ready
The first steps to draft lists have been taken by LDK and AAK

Lumir Abdixhiku's party has discussed the list issue at the latest meeting of the General Council, which was held several days ago.

At this meeting, the LDK has decided that part of the list will be all mayors who are from the ranks of this political party.

During this meeting, the General Council approved the quota of nominations to the MP list, among the branches of the Democratic League. On the candidate list for MPs, they will be all LDK mayors; this is because the right is as powerful as possible in the upcoming Kosovo elections, which are not only about the fate of the LDK, but about the fate of the Republic and coming generations. The LDK is ready for elections whenever held in Kosovo, so it is the only party that is making all preparations and is continuing citizens' meetings across the country”, said the LDK report, which was issued after the meeting of the General Council.

Several LDK branches have already presented their candidates for deputies.

In that direction, there has been no Ramush Haradinaj's AAK at all.

He has presented some of the candidates who will be part of the AKA list.

Thus far Haradinaj as AAK candidates for MPs has introduced Prof. Mensur Nezir and Rasim Selmanaj.

Only the Vetevendosje Movement has so far shown no movement in this direction.
