EU spokesman Peter Stano said the High Representative's report, Josep Borrell, on the agenda of measures against Kosovo, has not yet been submitted to European Council member states.
He said the report is being finalised and is expected to soon be introduced to member states. The EU imposed austerity measures on Kosovo in June last year following escalations in the northern part and imposed a series of conditions to remove them.
No, the report has not been submitted yet and we have never announced a date when exactly this will be done. In its conclusions of December 12th 2023, the Council of General Affairs recalled that the EU is ready to lift measures on Kosovo in the event of further progress in meeting EU requirements expressed in the June 3rd 2023 declaration. The Council (EU Member States) invited High Representative Borrell to present a report on Kosovo meeting EU requirements. The report is still finalising and will soon be presented to the Member States on Council”, Stano said. / RTV21
