The United States Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeff Hovenier, has expressed US steadfast support for Kosovo in terms of improving the integrity of information and cyberattack protection.
Speaking in the seventh edition of the Conference on Information Integrity, known as “D ISICON”, Havenier stressed the importance of responsible use of technology in protecting democratic processes.
In his speech, Ambassador Havenier focused attention on the potential that Artificial Intelligence offers to help improve various processes, underlining that these technology tools should be used carefully to avoid the risk of misuse.
Advanced technology tools, he says, can be useful but also dangerous if not managed properly.
Ambassador Havenier also added that the US has a firm commitment to supporting independent civil societies and media, which are essential to an open and democratic society.
He confirmed that the American government is committed to providing assistance in these areas as a part of the continued and strong partnership between the two countries.
