It has been announced by the Kosovo Handball Federation through a communique.
Makiqi made a name in handball while he was a Mitrovica Trepca player and then at Ferizaj's Borci.
He has played for two successful Kosovo teams in their best period, even in the first federal league.
Makqi has made a career outside Kosovo as well. It was also in German Bundesliga as well as in other teams of former federal State.
In the last 35 years, he has lived outside Kosovo, respectively. He was also a coach, but he left a permanent trail as a player. In his day, Makiqi was among the best players in the former federal state.
Born in Mitrovica in 1958, Makiqi developed to Trepca. My career began in 1974. The player's career has also made in Austria and Italy, while as a coach worked in Croatia.
Kosovo's “Handball Fund and Kosovo handball in general remained without a very important name. With the performance on the playing field, Makiqi has all taken care of himself. It was Trepca and Bortz's icon when these two teams were writing stories. With the death of Aziz Makick the Kosovo handball has remained without a very important member. His career as handball player has been an inspiration to many young people who chose handball sports. We express the most sincere condolences to the Makiqi family, the Trepca club and the entire handball community in Mitrovica and Kosovo”, writes in the letter of FHK President Eugen Sarachini.
