A new change in Android 15 suggests that phones will have more intelligent screens.
Even though it was suggested earlier, Android 15 Beta 3 now adds an option “Adaptive timeout” to Pixel's Display Setings.
The button to enable the new option will allow you to overcome current search capabilities “Screen timeout”, which can be placed from 15 seconds to 30 minutes.

It is not known how this will be defined, but the function may use some hardware solutions, such as front camera and proximity sensor, to determine whether the phone is in use and in context, will keep the screen locked or disconnected.
