Albania: Arsenal of arms and ammunition at home, 65-year-old arrested, brother prosecuted

Elbasan police have seized an arsenal of weapons from the residences of two brothers in the village of Gjergaj in Elbasan.

During the physical examination, 1 Kalashnikov rifles, 1 hunting rifles, 3 pneumatic weapons, 1 trophy rifles, 1 pair of dybbys, 2 rounds, two rounds of ammunition and 1 cuter (head) tool. Thus, citizen B was arrested. M, 65, while the other brother was prosecuted in a free state for health reasons.

“The services of the Elbasan Police Commissioner, following the work of obtaining and hitting criminal activity of illegal possession of firearms, in the application of measures defined in the nationwide operational plan “Law enforcement” has provided information on 2 cases of possession of firearms. This information has been investigated by proactive methods, in the direction of the Elbasan Prosecutor, and the result has been finalised by the police operation coded “Brothers”.

Within this operation, in the village of Gjerdjan, in the residences of citizens A. M., 65, and B. M., 57, police services found and seized material evidence quality:

1 Kalashnikov firearm with 2 rounds of 80 rounds;

1 semiautomatic hunting gun;

1 ] rifle fire (trofe);

2 pneumatic rifles;

1 pneumatic weapons mounted;

1 pair of wax;

1 cutting tool combined with punch reinforcer.
