Saban Ibrahimi, head of the Kosovo Commission Association, has told of his 20-year experience with all the prime ministers of the country sometime from the late Bajram Rexhepi and to current Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
According to him, it has never happened in the past that there will almost be no co-operation between the government and the municipalities until it shows cases when they have consulted everything with other prime ministers for the benefit of municipalities in the past.
“We had a case in the past when the prime minister was Avdullah Hoti, was talking about a case worth 7m euros and we had a dilemma with Minister Bajrami. Prime Minister Hoti was on Washington on official visit, I called him and I consulted him, so co-operation was very good. No president, no prime minister, no minister in the past, the mayor has seen as this government today. It has not happened over the past two decades that within two budgetary hearings not support any municipal project that has been in dozens and coco has happened only during this rule”, Ibrahim has stated.
The head of the Commission Association has said many government projects are being placed in the ministry and the line, and then they are being divided on the basis of political preferences.
“Tradition to municipalities is a citizen blow because life develops at the local level and if you don't support municipalities and you cut capital investments it directly affects the non-improvement of citizens' lives”, it's over for Abraham.
