The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has gathered today's team of experts in the education memo, where they discussed some of the priorities expected to be included in the party's election programme.

After this meeting, The AAK came up with 14 pledges in the field of education, where it said their election programme would include increasing salaries for education workers at all levels by 50 percent.

And so, The AAK promised that there would be increased education budgets to 6 percent GDP, as well as physical infrastructure improvements, adapting to contemporary criteria.

Below, find all AAK priorities in the education issue expected to be included in the 2025-2028 election programme:

  1. Challenges in Kosovo's education system constitute a fundamental reform of this sector;
  2. Education growth to 6% of GDP;
  3. Pay increases for education workers at all levels for 50%;
  4. Improve physical infrastructure by adapting to contemporary criteria;
  5. Equal treatment of public and private universities through performance monitoring;
  6. Profiling institutions of higher education and their financial independence;
  7. Free textbooks for pre-university education;
  8. Overarching education and ensuring professional framework for children with special needs;
  9. Law regulation of supplementary education in diaspora;
  10. The negotiation of the new collective contract with education unions and other interest parties;
  11. Continued free treatments for all teachers;
  12. Certificate and accreditation of scientific institutes and creating the possibility of generating personal revenues;
  13. Security increases in schools;
  14. Support for professional education programmes according to market needs.
