Escobar has said that the US does not vote on the Council of Europe and has added that there have been concerns within some member states that the Association and some other requirements concerning the unmet minorities.

Escobar has said that the US position that is to be part of the EU and NATO and that official Washington continues to work on it. He has also had a message for Kosovo, instructing him to listen and work with European partners.

“The U.S. has no vote. But I know there are concerns among some members, that association and some other demands that have been made in recent years and some issues with minorities have not been met. It is the US position that Kosovo should be part of the EU and NATO and we will continue to work on it. Kosovo should listen to European partners and work with them”, Escobar has declared.
