Responding to Thaci's defence questions through lawyer Nina Tavakoli, the witness said these people were told to remove at least Germany's flags. According to him, there were persons coming from Albania to commit theft.
I remember at least two incidents that we arrested people who were stealing and robbing and remembering that they said they came from Albania... It has often happened that we caught people wearing German flags with the German flag and asked them to at least remove German flags in such a way that they were no longer identified as members of the army”, the witness said.
He also confirmed that prior to the withdrawal of Serb troops and following the return of Kosovo's refugees, there were revenge actions.
I have seen and witnessed some of them, as well as”, he said.
He said he had seen several fires in Kosovo, and many had seen them through television after returning to Germany.
On the other hand, witness Klaus Jensch claimed that acts of robbery were also carried out by Yugoslav Army soldiers.
“There have been robbery actions, I remember a scene involving soldiers of the former Yugoslav Army who were firing shots in the air and a German major commander who knew little local language and managed to ease the situation a little. So there was a confrontation between the Albanian part of the population and Yugoslav forces leaving”, he said.
As for the case at the MUP building in Prizren, the witness said that after two of the detainees had gone to the monastery school in Prizren, where refugees were held had claimed to have seen two people who had beaten them.
“Around 1500 o'clock, two people currently living at Prizren Monastery school have known Sami Rexhepi and KLA commander Nezir Kryezin through the window and have said they have been beaten repeatedly and mistreated by them when they were held in the former MUP building”, he said. /Regression/
