The witness denies hearing of forming Military Court in the KLA and Thaci's obligation to oversee it

68th Witness to Specialised Prosecutor's Office (ZPS), Austrian diplomat Jan Kickert, has denied hearing of the formation of a Military Court in the KLA and that her boss is a person named Sokol Dobrunja. The witness also denied knowing that Thaci's work has been to oversee [...]
Also, the witness denied that he knew Thaci's job had been to oversee the functioning of this Military Court, reports “The Justice Vow”.
While questioned about representing Albanians in the political process and especially during the agreements that emerged from this representation, the witness said the LDK had no friendly access to the KLA.
“The LDK had no friendly access to the KLA. At first they even denied the existence of the KLA. We also had FARK, the armed group that was funded by the LDK and their government in the space. So there were clashes, political friction, but I believe these frictions were also on the ground”, he said.
Witness added that LDK saw U CK is a threat to their political monopoly.
The witness also said that during the process of the Rambouillet agreement, there was pressure on Thaci, as zone commanders disagreed with the agreement. In addition, the witness confirmed that Thaci did not have the authority to sign on behalf of the KLA.
Austrian diplomat: Thaci introduced himself as a 3rd, had the nickname "Jarpri”
(Aligned, 14:10)- Austrian diplomat Jan Kickert said at the meeting he had with Thaci he was introduced with number three.
Asked if he had heard Thaci refer to this number, the witness denied it, but said he had heard that a numeric system was used.
I was told that they used a numeric system there and I remembered and said in one of my reports where I described a meeting with Adam Demaci that Adam Demach with numbers was addressed to persons, but they didn't link Hashim Thaci to”, he said, denying that he had heard in other ways of addressing Thaci with number 3.
The Witness said that he had heard Thaci have a serpent's nickname, and during this time he had not heard that they referred to him in parallel.
Jan Kickert was also asked whether he ever understood why a numeric system was used.
After us, it was a hierarchical illustration with the numeric system. I first met number 7 and then I came to realize that I was on the highest stairs in the hierarchy. (no names presentation) I understand it was about security. For me, the main threat is if you introduce yourself by name and it's less dangerous if you use a number”, he said.
He also said Thaci was the main target of Serbs and that it was a puzzle if he was endangered in the case presented with number 3, but that added he did not believe Thaci introduced himself with number 3 to show the importance he had at the KLA.
When we met with number 7, it was a little weird meeting. I was wondering if I could invent that number 7 because 007 was James Bond, but then when I met number 3 I realized there was some value in this numeric system, it makes sense but I can't say this for sure”, the witness said he told the ZPS that this numeric system relied mainly on assumptions and that he didn't see any documents on it.
He also said Thaci during this meeting had not told him what he was responsible for and that he did not tell him he was a leader.
After that, Thaci's lawyer also touched on other topics in which the witness added that during the Serbian offensive Malisheva had been abandoned by the Albanian population, and that by the end of July or early August they had received reports from the ground that Serbian police were looting shops and police were setting their houses on fire.
Witness said Serbs were convinced they had defeated U n CK, especially after the prekaz bombings in the spring of 1998, this conviction had been strengthened.
