Two Ukrainian officers arrested, allegedly planning Zelensky's murder on Russia's orders

A plot to kill President Volodyr Zelensky has been uncovered by Ukraine's state security service (SBU).

The service says two agents presenting themselves to the Ukrainian state guard were tasked by Moscow to find a way to capture Zelensky and kill him.

They also planned to kill other high-ranking Ukrainian officials, the SBU said in Telegram. SBU leader Vasyl Malyuk described the plot as a “gift to Putin ahead of the inauguration”.

The SBU said two suspects were arrested after an investigation gradually documented their alleged criminal actions. /abcnews. al
