Smaqi: Corruption in Kurti government is also documented by UN seal

While it has been discussed tonight with reports of international organisations that have found evidence that there is serious corruption in local institutions, Lawyer Dzevdet Smakqi has said that in all international reports, government intervention in the work of justice institutions has been proven and that corruption has flourished in this governance and with that the poverty of citizens.

“Vula that this government is involved in corruption is in the American State Department report, unfortunately yesterday in the Assembly where this report ministers fled because this government did not report to the assembly, for the country's bad luck the majority deputies are not critical of the government. That is, instead of Kosovo's growing economy and being involved in all Euro-Atlantic structures in us, corruption has flourished and nationals are becoming poor, Smakqi has confirmed.

According to him, this report is very disturbing, and it has nothing to do with the opposition or with anyone, but it has to do with the Kosovo government and its work because these estimates that there is serious corruption in the country's government can prevent Kosovo from membership in international organisations as we now have the case in the Council of Europe.

“A prime minister who from the parliament speaker called not to be elected chief prosecutor and says that as long as I am prime minister, Blerim Isufi will not be elected to that position clearly shows that this man is an anarchist who does not recognise the system. The prime minister has also publicly stated why investigators are coming to the government with us, in reality it should be quite the opposite that he himself called on them to investigate corruption allegations”, Smakqi added.

On the other hand as lawyer Smakqi has claimed that after publishing this report, many charges could arise, and many officials could end up behind bars.
