Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is no longer in danger after the assassination he faced days ago.
That is what Slovakia's deputy prime minister, Robert Kalinak, has announced this morning.
“He is no longer in danger for life, but his condition continues to be serious and must be in intensive care”, Kalinak said.
The person charged with attempted murder of the prime minister has appeared before the tribunal on Saturday.
The accused, identified by Slovak media as Yuray Cintula, 71, has shot Ficon after a government meeting Wednesday.
Fico has been in power since his centrist population, Smer, won the general election in the fall of last year. / REL
