Sirenas warning missile attacks were heard in the central part of Israel, including Tel Aviv on May 26th, for the first time in several months, as the Palestinian group Hamas declared terrorist organisation by the United States and the European Union said it has fired a hail of missiles from Gaza.
Hamas' military arm is responsible for the attack, while missile launch noise has been heard in central Gaza.
The Israeli army said eight shells crossed into Israel's territory after being launched from the southern town of Rafah, Gaza, where Israeli forces have recently launched an offensive.
The Israeli Army said that “a number” of the missiles has been toppled.
Hamas has continued to attack communities around Gaza with rockets since the war with Israel began on 7 October.
There is still no information on victims or damage from the recent hail of the Hamas missile.
The Gaza war between Israel and Hamas began after the Palestinian radical group attacked the south of Israel on October 7th, killing 1,200 people and kidnapping 250 others.
As a result of the Israeli offensive, more than 35,800 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza.
