Kosovo Police Deputy Director for the North Mitrovica region Veton Elshani in an interview for Telegrafi has shown how important it is to establish the monitoring system in Kosovo's four northern municipalities.
Elshani said the location of the cameras has started a longer time in the north of the country.
He said that where there are static points and where members of the Kosovo Police stand there will be security cameras.
From the moment we arrived here in December 2022, we have a duty to protect police stations and police stations. Where there are static points, where the police are, there's cameras. However, we have now expanded to get more police on duty. We've expanded into the quality of the investigation and we've made it reasonable and applied for cameras to be installed throughout the country's northern territory, on magistrate's streets, and municipal roads like North Mitrovica, Leposaviq, Zvecan and Zubin Potok”, Elshani said, about Telegrafi.
According to him, this process has already begun and considers it will depend on the company until it can perform these institutional work.
Elshani indicated there will be around 200 cameras that will be placed in the four northern municipalities.
The country's “North is no different than the Pec region, or Gjilani, etc. But establishing security cameras under the law is argued with what public places cover, and the main goal is to prevent counterinjury, criminal acts. But if they happen to have quality investigation. Which means we'll have a better time lighting.
Asked how much work on the ground facilitates the deployment of the monitoring system, Elashan said: “makes it very easier for us. Which means we have the opportunity through camera monitoring to verify the roads, magistrates, the city, or the intersections that go through, however, the perpetrators of criminal acts or criminals, etc. we're going to create a climate of greater security in the northern citizens of the country”.
