Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu has reacted after Enver Sekirrakes' escape, saying that someone who is also known to the public that he leaves the prosecution for serious crimes and their repetitions to house arrest and then to freedom, until another act of decision, thus completely escape.
Haxhiu has said this happened even to Enver Sekiraq, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing Kosovo Police Police Officer.
This unprofessional approach of judges in many cases is resulting in a shift of crime. At times, it's manifesting itself to murder and to complete escape. And this is not an isolated mistake, but frequent actions that are changing with the thought of judgment and are being translated into the simulation of criminals”, Haxhi wrote on a Facebook post.
She has said that the “setting up house arrest, and not changing that measure, is a major scandal. This actually indirect escape was even warned at the hearing of the plea to the Sekiraq trial when he from the hearing was announced to be interrupted by another house arrest measure”.
It seems that our judicial system because of its evil experience in the absence of the punishment of large fish is continuing to not be set on fire by its state, thus tolerating escape and repeat criminal acts”.
According to Haxhiu, this is extremely disturbing and should serve as an alarm not only for specific cases but for such cases in general.
The judicial system exists precisely to give citizens justice and security, not fear and panic. They must be on the side of the law, of the injured and above all public interest, not on the criminal side, of the strong and the Mafia clans”.
This case, in addition to raising doubts about involvement in corruption, so there must be a professional investigation and responsibility from those who enabled this escape”, the minister Haxhiu wrote.
Kosovo police have confirmed that Enver Sekiraqa has fled after changing the security measure, as the Court of Appeals had decided two days earlier to return the same to custody.
Police have confirmed that all measures for information and detention have already been undertaken at all border crossings to Enver Sekiraqa.
Indictee Enver Sekiraqa, on May 3rd, 2024, for the third time after the return of the case in the retrial was sentenced to 25 years in prison for inciting police officer Triumf Riza.
