QU INT: Banning Porfirije's Kosovo Visit Versus Ahtisaari Plan

According to QUINT, the Government's decision is contrary to the Ahtisaari Plan provisions, which clearly defines rights, privileges and immunitys for the clergy of the Serbian Orthodox Church and is not in line with Kosovo's obligations in the EU Dialogue.
“We expect the Government of Kosovo to meet its highest human rights standards in both its legal framework and its actions, to act in the interest of all its citizens, and to maintain its essential values and responsibility to regional stability. We continue to call on both sides to refrain from any action and rhetoric that could increase tensions and lead to incidents”, it says in response.
