The prosecution seeks the conviction of those accused of rinsing over 1255,000 euros

At the Constitutional Court in Pristina on Friday, the final word has been given in the case that Florim Laci, Hammez Limaj, Arment Orana, Shabedin Reka and Avdush Qukovci and Dremmmnik are being charged with delivering over 1255,000 euros and other criminal acts.

In this case, Lachi, Limaj, Orana, Reka, Qukovci and Slamnik are charged with “Money delivery”.

The accused Reka, Orana and Qukovci are also charged with criminal work “Blerja, accession or hiding items taken with performing criminal work”. The accused Orana and Slamnik, on the other hand, are also charged with “Non-licensiting”.

The accused Slamnik at the 25 October 2023 session had pleaded guilty to illegal arms maintenance, while he was declared innocent of money laundering, reports the “Justice Vow”.

While accused Florim Laci, Hamez Limaj, Arment Orana, Shabedin Reka and Avdush Qukovci, who at the 25 October 2023 session, have pleaded guilty to the criminal acts they are charged with.

Final words were delivered in writing by special prosecutor Iliriana Colaku-Taffe and some of the defenders of the accused.

Prosecutor Colak -The tax during the elaboration of the final word said that in this trial it has been proven that the accused carried out the acts they are accused of, stressing that accused Laci, Limaj, Orana, Reka, Qukovci had pleaded guilty to the acts accused of, while accused Slamnik had pleaded guilty only to illegal weapons.

The same demanded from the court that the accused Laci, Limaj, Orana, Reka, Qukovci and Slamnik plead guilty and condemn them according to the law after all elements of criminal acts were completed.

On the other hand, prosecutor Colaku-Tafa said that in the case of measuring the sentences related to accused Laci, Limaj, Orana, Reka, Qukovci the court should take into account critical and extenuating circumstances, while related to the same Slamnik accused said there were no extenuating circumstances.

Even the defender of the accused Laci, lawyer Ilir Hoxha, said during the final address that his defender had pleaded guilty, adding that the court should take into account extenuating circumstances during the measurement of the conviction such as guilty, the conduct of the same and others.

While, the accused Laci said he sought forgiveness and that he had repented, demanding lower court sentences.

Similarly, the defender of the accused Reka, lawyer Kadri Begolli during the final speech, said the consequences of the criminal act were minority and that there were extenuating circumstances to be taken on the part of the court, adding that his defender had a peripheral role in planning to commit criminal work.

The same one as the admission of guilt should also affect the easing of sentence, demanding a legitimate and favourable decision by the tribunal for the accused Reka.

Also, defender Limaj lawyer Avni Maximu unveiled the final word of attorney Enver Maxun, who, among other things, said he proposed to the court to apply the sentences to ease the sentence.

Even the defender of the accused Orana, lawyer Selman Bogiqi, during the final address, said that in the case of measuring the sentence, he asked the court to take into account extenuating circumstances.

Likewise, the defender of the accused Qukovci, lawyer Florent Latifaj, in the final address stated that during measuring the sentence to protect him, the court must take into account extenuating circumstances, among other things, that were his sincerity, age and other.

Finally, the defender of the Slamnik accused, lawyer Shkodran Manaj, said that by no single form was the intention of the same to carry out the criminal work for which he was accused.

Otherwise, today's session was held in the absence of indictees Reka, Limaj, Orana and Qukovci because the same had previously pleaded guilty to the criminal acts they are accused of and agreed to be held in their absence.

This trial was proclaimed by the chairman of the court, Judge Musa Kondzhel, while the announcement concerning this criminal case is expected to take place on another date.

The accused Reka, Orana and Qukovci are also charged with criminal work “Blerja, acceptance or hiding items taken in the conduct of criminal work”. The accused Osana and Slamnik, on the other hand, are also charged with “Non-licensiation”.
