Prices of all agricultural products rise, “fly” those of eggs, meat and honey

Kosovo's Statistics Agency has published the price collection figures of local agricultural products in Kosovo at TM1 2024, the price index of plant products has increased by 2.8%, compared to the same period in 2023.

The price index of livestock products has an increase of 7.3%.

The overall agricultural product index reportedly has an increase of 5.3%, compared to the same period in 2023.

“Products that provide basis for the price index of agricultural products are divided into two main groups: Plant and animal products. Within the framework of plant products, prices are collected for these groups: cereals, foraging plants, vegetables, potatoes, and trees. In livestock products, prices are collected for livestock and livestock products. Within livestock, prices accumulate for four categories of animals: cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens. These awards are based on the living weight of animals. Within the framework of livestock and agricultural products, prices are accumulated for milk, eggs and honey. All prices are estimated in the euro and the measures are in: kg, litre and piece”, the report says.
