Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has said that the disinforming camps pose a major threat to stability, to Kosovo's national security, but also to the Western Balkans as a whole.
These campaigns are intended to bring fear, manipulate public opinion, undermine trust in democratic institutions, but, above all, want to affect democracy standing on the foundations of our two states”, Osmani said.
Osman stressed that cyberattacks have already become part of the hybrid struggle of malicious forces.
“For the realisation of the geopolitical agendas of the Ottomans, which through them aim to bring about instability, distrust and polarisation”, she stressed.
These statements, the first of the state, were made after meeting with US Undersecretary for Public Diplomacy Elizabeth Allen.
Today, the agreement of understanding between the United States Government and the Republic of Kosovo was signed against manipulation of information by foreign states.
