According to the announcement issued by the prime minister's office, Kurti and Sarrazin have been talking about progress in implementing mobileity agreements in the Berlin Process, regional co-operation and expectations from the next summit, which will be held in Berlin on its 10th anniversary.
The prime minister's “recalled the importance of the implementation of the ID agreement between Kosovo and Bosnia and Herzegovina, facilitating the free movement of citizens”, the report said.
In turn, Kurti reportedly stressed that on 16 May in Kotor, Kosovo requested that the Western Balkans become part of the European Union's Anti-Plaundering Authority (AMLA) to boost financial integrity and strengthen co-operation in the fight against financial crime, which became part of the joint declaration issued in Kotor.
“For his contribution and role in strengthening relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Germany, as well as advancing regional co-operation, the prime minister thanked Mr. Sarrazin. The Berlin process is the platform where we engage in regional co-operation and economic integration. The Joint Regional Market issued by the Berlin Process along with the Development Plan are opportunities for the development of the Western Balkans and speeding up reforms for membership in the European Union. The Republic of Kosovo is proactive and contributing to this important process”, said at the end of the announcement.
