Osman, EU: There is a total lack of balance in dialogue, we are asked of Serbia's Association nothing

The country's president, Vjosa Osmani, has attended the Democracy Summit, which is being held in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Osmani said that Kosovo wants to implement all agreements reached in the dialogue with Serbia, but according to it, in each contractual relationship there are two sides and if one side does not implement any of the agreement provisions and undermine it, then, as she said, the question is that “has agreements”.

We have asked the EU questions to ask both sides to do everything in parallel. We do not run away from obligations that arise from that agreement, but Serbia must act parallelly. The main commitment from that agreement for Kosovo concerns minority communities' rights, namely the establishment of association, but it is conditional on Serbia to exercise de-facto recognition simultaneously”.

But until Serbia does exactly the opposite and says there will never be recognitions of either defacto or de jure, it will not allow Kosovo to become a member of international organisations, then what are the security measures we will have, especially those of security not allowing this association to escape from control”, Osmani said.

Osmani further said that the association that has recently been presented does not resemble Republika Srpska, but said they should make sure it is not even close to it.

So the only way this works is in case the whole deal is implemented. Not only is Kosovo required to implement everything and give Serbia green light to do whatever it wants”.
