US Assistant Secretary at the Bureau for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien is expected to travel to Montenegro next week.
As confirmed by the State Department, he is expected to attend the Regional Leaders Summit, to be held in Kotor.
His commitments to the summit will focus on regional economic integration and the possibility of growth offered by the EU's Western Balkans Growth Plan, as well as on strengthening the United States' strong support for the Western Balkans' path towards EU membership, said further in the communiqué.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Albania's Edi Rama, current prime minister of Northern Macedonia Talat Xhaferi, Serbia President Aleksandar Vuciq, and European Commissioner for Neighborship and Enlargement Oliver Varheley are expected to attend the summit. /rtk
