US President Joe Biden will pay his first visit to this position in France, where he will meet with French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
The news was first made by the French Embassy in the United States and was further confirmed by Macron himself, who published an X announcement, the former Twitterer, showing satisfaction for the expected visit of Biden.
This visit follows Macron's in Washington, held in 2022, but it's also special for the timing of a complex situation in Gaza in Ukraine.
“While war has returned to the continent 80 years after the liberation of Europe, the presidents will discuss their firm and sustainable support for Ukraine.
This close co-ordination will precede key summits, particularly the G7 summit at the Bar and NATO summit in Washington”, it is written in the French diplomatic headquarters' announcement of the meeting.
Discussions will also focus on strengthening bilateral co-operation, especially on economic, spatial and nuclear issues.
Finally, they will address joint actions in response to global challenges, particularly climate emergency and biodiversity protection.
