Lushtaku for Gervala's letter: Indicating a break between institutions, they are damaging Kosovo

Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Mergim Lushtaku has said there is an inter-institute non-coordination with regard to preparing the draft association status to send it to the Constitutional Court.

Lushtaku mentions the letter of Chief Diplomat Donika Grovalla, who addressed the Parliamentary Assembly with a letter saying that the government is preparing a draft state to send it to Constitution. This fact, according to him, shows a breach between the presidency and the government, which is in Kosovo's “ ”.

“We have also seen an incompatibility of institutions, we have also seen a statement from the presidency office, where it has reproved the very first of Kosovo diplomacy by the government, and here it is showing that there is a breach and non-coordination in this part, and that doesn't benefit Kosovo”, Lushtaku said, as he views this letter as more of a daily policy. He concludes that co-operation is necessary, not only between institutions but also between position and opposition.

This is necessary not only that the presidency and the government have a co-ordination, but also a better opposition and position because it is in Kosovo's interest to be members of any international organisation and certainly that this was a maneuver to justify that we are trying to meet the requirements of EU, and namely, partners such as Germany and France, but in reality it's only about daily policy”, he said.

While, in terms of Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe, Lushtaku said the government has not taken seriously the demands and talks of members of Germany and France, and in one way or another has manipulated public opinion.

We've been following this news with concern since the beginning we know very well that it's not the first time Kosovo is trying to make membership, this is the second time it's been passed to the European Parliament, while the Council of Ministers doesn't go through because we have requests, and until today we've seen that the government hasn't taken over with the negotiations and demands of mainly members of France and Germany<1>.
