London Mayor elections/ Sadiq Khan wins third historical mandate

Labusian Sadiq Khan has secured a third historic mandate as mayor of London, removing conservative rival Susan Hall. Sir Keir Starmer said he was sure of Khan's first choice of victory in this role in 2016.
The result comes after Rishi Sunak's conservative party received a blow in local elections.
Meanwhile, labists have made profit across the country, winning the early Blackpool South elections with a 26% swing, taking control of councils in major battlefield areas and winning three inaugural mayoral races in East Midlands, eastern North and North Yorkshire, a region that includes the Richmond Election Zone of Sunak.
