Visa liberalisation for Kosovo citizens has brought the first impact on attending the Durres coast.
Once the most loyal vacationers, today the Kosovo Albanians have spent it in second place as a destination for their summer holidays.
This year began differently. We can call it a good start, because it has started very early in March in early April, but the difference is that there is a lack of Kosovo tourists who were our loyal tourists who have supported us in every difficult time. This has happened directly after the visa opening, so Kosovo tourists have preferred to explore little Europe and have somewhat neglected Albania. This has been felt a lot in the Durres hotels, which filled their weekends with tourists from Kosovo”, says Blerim Norija, tourist operator.
According to the tour-operators, the created vacuum has been filled with foreign tourists, which this beginning of the season have been numerous in the coastal town.
“
The first tourists on this season are mostly tourists who come organized into closed - package groups, but a rapid increase is also seeing the number of elite tourists who come into small individual or family groups. /Euronews Albania
