Full Posting:
Voting the resolution on genocide in Srebrenica by the UN General Assembly is a seal on Serbia's crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Kosovo. From today, July 11 already internationally, it is remembered as the International Day of Memory and the Memorial of the 1995 Genocide in Srebrenica.
The Democratic League of Kosovo expresses its full and steadfast support for this resolution because it is an important step towards recognising and commemorating the Srebrenica genocide as one of the most serious crimes against humanity in modern history.
The LDK highly recognises the international community's efforts, especially Germany and Rwanda, as the official proposor of the resolution to condemn and commemorate this act of genocide, and re-exemplifies that justice and truth are the foundation of peace and stability in the region.
Supporting this resolution shows our common commitment not to forgetting innocent victims and to ensure that such crimes never happen again.
