The country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, has met with North Mitrovica deputy chairman Katarina Adanciq, Zvecan deputy chairman Natasa Toamniq and Leposaviqi deputy chairman Marina Bogojevic.
Kurti said the deputy mayors of the three municipalities in the north have consulted the needs for municipal services that can be trained co-ordinated in terms of freedom of association of municipalities.
All of them told me that they see Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe as an important step for empowering their municipalities. And they promised me that when they meet the diplomatic representatives of the QUINT they will also express these requests to them.
This was our second conversation in less than two weeks. Frequent and regular communication is interest, care and mutual will to discuss and plan projects, and address the challenge of difficulties”, Kurti wrote.
The head of the government expressed gratitude to the three deputy speakers for their day - to - day work and courage to serve the public and the citizens.
