Kosovo Democratic Institute Director Ismet Kryeziu has spoken of holding early elections, which even the ruling party expressed ready, writes Periscopi.
Through a post, Kryeziu has said that this “situation and willingness to go to the polls when you have the parliamentary majority is an indication of divisions within the majority and their frequent inability to create quorum in the 48x1> assembly.
His full post:
The willingness of power to go to early elections through the assembly's distribution, especially when the government has the parliamentary majority, should not be seen as an opportunity to ridicule the opposition, even though many exhibits of the current government have begun to do so.
In fact, the opposite is true.
This situation and willingness to go to elections when you have the parliamentary majority is an indication of divisions within the majority and their frequent inability to create quorums in the assembly. This covers the challenges and problems they have in meeting the legislative agenda, including important laws such as those on the civil code, education, and other issues requiring consensus and the necessary vote by 2/3.
In this context, more than ridicule the opposition, this readiness scatters the government's problems and inability to govern effectively.
