KMK calls for media and journalists not to stumble during their work.
With the case of May 3rd World Press Freedom Day, Kosovo's Free Media Council ( KMKK) recalls that media freedom is an essential part of a democratic society.
KMSK expresses concern over the deterioration of media freedom in Kosovo -- whether it was Kosovo's boycott of Reporters Without Borders Index -- falling for 19 countries from 56 to 75.
KMK calls for media and journalists not to stumble during their work. Political attacks on media and journalists, as well as lynching campaigns against them, are a serious threat to an independent and professional journalist, as well as to the integrity and life of journalists.
KMKK deems the authorities' efforts to control media and violate free speech” harmful and unacceptable, the communique said.
