Kearns mentions a threatening Vuciki statement: New Kosovo security alliance needed

British MP Alicia Kearns, in the security debate in the Western Balkans currently being held in the British Parliament, said a new coalition of her country, the US and other NATO members are needed, along with Kosovo, to maintain peace in Kosovo. She also mentioned a statement by the Serbian president [...]
She also cited a statement by Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq to show the urgency of increasing Allies' commitment to Kosovo.
The government now works with NATO partners to ensure that KFOR is given the support and duties it needs to maintain peace and stability throughout Kosovo. We must establish the new security alliance between the US, Great Britain and other NATO members with Kosovo. That would help with the security concerns we see. We're giving you an example of why it's necessary. Last December, Serbia's president has said Serbia must follow Azerbaijan's Nagorno-Karabakh example and expect particular political circumstances to allow it to regain Kosovo. This is a deliberate statement that should not be ignored. Such comments from the head of state are unacceptable”.
She also mentioned the kidnapping of Nikola Sandovitch and his beating.
She also said the British want to be friends of Serbia, but of a democratic Serbia.
“We in this room want to be friends of a democratic Serbia. We want the elections to be fair”.
