Three international reports that destroyed Kurti Government propaganda

Truth and politics cannot stay on the same line, said one of the most influential political theories of the 20th century, Hannah Arendt. Authorities always tend to present the country's socioeconomic reality differently from what it really is. Such a thing can easily be found in Kosovo. [...]
Authorities always tend to present the country's socioeconomic reality differently from what it really is.
Such a thing can easily be found in Kosovo. All it takes is to analyze the most creditable international reports that objectively reflect this year's progress in the state and compare to the statements of the country's top state leaders.
The US State Department report, Freedom House Reporter and the recently released Reporters Without Borders index have ravaged government propaganda that Kosovo is leaders in the region for democracy, media freedom and fighting corruption.
While Kosovo's current government is full-of-mouthed, fighting corruption, report The UN for Kosovo has concluded that 2023 was characterised by “with serious government corruption”.
The UN has stressed in the report that Kosovo has serious problems with the independence of judiciary”.
Among other things in the field called “Corruption in Government”, The UN also cited the decision of the Pristina Foundation Court, which convicted Industry Minister Roseta Hajdari of failing to declare wealth.
Apart from Hajdari, the same field the report of The UN has also cited the guilty statement by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lisa Gashi for failing to declare property by the Constitutional Court in Pristina.
In terms of corruption, the report The UN, too, has suggested that the Special Prosecution and the Special Investigation Unit of the Kosovo Police have opened <x0 criminal statements against at least five ministers and two deputy ministers on charges of corruption-related acts”.
A grim picture of the real situation on the ground has also reflected the international organisation's report “Freedom House”.
Like the report. The UN also found the “Freedom House” report has found that corruption in Kosovo “continues to remain a serious issue of concern in Kosovo”.
Kosovo is again listed in the group of hybrid regimes, “transitional democracy”, in the organisation's report “Freedom House”.
Democracy in Kosovo, according to estimates and measurements of this organisation, has undergone no change.
Kosovo, both in the preliminary year and this year, has been rated at a score of 3.29 points, on a scale of between 1 and 7 points, where 1 is the lowest degree of democracy.
In addition to corruption and democracy, Kosovo has scored regress in terms of media freedom.
The organisation “Reporters Without Borders” has published the annual World Press Freedom Index, where Kosovo ranks 75th, losing 19 places from last year when 56th was listed.
That is the most negative assessment to Kosovo in the past decade.
In 2014 Kosovo was assessed by a score of 70.71 of this organisation, while during 2024 Kosovo has collected only 60.19 points.
In 2023, Kosovo was assessed at 68.38. In 2023 with a mark of 68,38. In 2022 with a score of 67. In 2021 with a mark of 69.68. In 2020 with a score of 70.67. In 2019 with a score of 70.32. In 2018 with a score of 70.39. In 2017 with a mark of 69,55. In 2016 with a mark of 69.5. In 2015 with a mark of 69.37”.
Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has acknowledged that Kosovo report The UN of 2023 has criticism of the Government of Kosovo.
However, he has expressed surprise that the American State Department has not quoted “Freedom House” of Transparency International” two international organisations measuring the level of democracy and transparency of institutions.
“If cited, Kosovo would have to be praised”, he had stated in an interview for DW.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Iron Murati, in an attempt to justify the UNI report, stated that in 2023 the word corruption was mentioned only 12 times.
“in 2019 has been the 24 times mentioned”, he said at the Kosovo Assembly session where this report is being discussed.
Report UNI, according to Murati, if viewed in quantitative spa, then it can be found that “ka halves”
Murati has also suggested that anyone who made this report has dropped “pre of media dezinforms”.
“Whoever made the report has fallen prey to media deninforms, which are still part of the old” guard.
