The head of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, were also invited to work at dinner.
Prime Minister Albin Kurti, after meeting with PDK chairman Memli Krasniqi, has said he is interested in discussing with political subjects the most appropriate date for the new parliamentary elections in Kosovo.
The best time for his choice is spring or autumn.
Kurti has said that Krasniqi has also discussed the importance of better communication in the coming days, with the goal of adopting 13 international agreements pending to be voted in the Kosovo Assembly.
“Thank PDK leaders Krasniqi and Tahiri for responding to the invitation. We discussed issues of political currentity but with particular emphasis on legislative agenda. We have 13 international agreements pending voting. We need opposition support.
We discussed the situation in general as well as the Kosovo walk in international integrations, as well as the possibility for new elections in the near future, but it is known that I have already entered the last year of my government mandate”.
He has said he will continue discussions on elections with other opposition parties.
“Since March of this year we cannot say that the next elections are issues of years, but months, so I'm interested in discussing with the PDK, LDK and AAK what's the most appropriate season for the next election, it's better in spring or autumn. Let's talk about it, but I don't want to impose my will on it or say it's no different. Let's make the debate in the election campaign after we've agreed for elections”.
“Darka has lasted long, we haven't met before, we had much to discuss with Krasniqi”.
For KE, we have met all conditions, the word now has the Council of Ministers.
We invited all parties tonight. I'll insist I meet with others. I can't set the date for my election. It's not distributed in a lot of”, Kurti said.
Krasniqi says Kurti talks about upcoming elections
And after meeting with Prime Minister Kurti has also been declared chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Memli Krasniqi.
Krasniqi, in his address to the media, claimed he was primarily talking about the work of the Parliament and the prospect of the upcoming elections.
We've had discussions I consider good. As far as the Assembly and the Law are concerned in the Parliament, we also have disks about them”.
He added that elections are not only a PDK wish, but a need for the country.
I'm going to keep the correct, I'm sorry that June 9th is out of range. I believe there are still dates that are within this time frame that I hope we will agree to”, he said.
Krasniqi also expressed the reasons for his participation in the meeting.
I have come to this meeting, believing that the interest of Kosovo's citizens is to deal with topics that interest them, not those that interest embassies. We have to go back to the citizens, because 200 thousand citizens have fled because they haven't found a good life here.”
“We believe Bedri Hamza will be Kosovo's next prime minister. Kosovo is in agony. We have a stable economy. We have extremely serious health. Non-existence foreign policy. Unfunctional parliament. Now we also have a difficult situation in terms of Kosovo's membership in the KiE. Looks like we're gonna have a failure. I told Prime Minister Kurti that we should speed up our work to resolve these subjects. We have named our candidate”, Krasniqi said.
